ABOUT:
I first noticed Hamish during Monarch of the Glen.
That very first scene where we see him, as Duncan, zooming across
the Loch on the Jet ski in Series 1 Episode 1. I thought to
myself “Oh boy! Who are you?”. Duncan soon became my favourite in Glenbogle and
I became interested in finding out more about the actor
himself. I discovered there was very little information or pictures
to be found on the internet and what I did find hadn’t been updated
in years.
Out of the frustration at the lack of current information and
photos on the internet I (Jules) started thinking about starting my
own fansite about Hamish. Hamish had been very popular during his
‘Duncan’ years and I knew there must be other fans out there who
would like to know more about him. So I took the big plunge and
used my computer and research skills to create the "Hamish Clark
Fansite".
After a few months I was contacted by another fan (Jess) and as
our friendship developed I asked her to join me in running the
fansite. And from there the fansite has grown considerably.
In July 2007, Hamish contacted me to let me know how much he
likes the website and appreciates all of the hard work that I have
put into it. Fast forward to the 14th September in London,
Jess and myself were invited to meet with Hamish and his agent.
This was not only an opportunity for us to actually meet Hamish
in person but also for us to discuss the fansite. It was a
fantastic day! Photos can be found in the fan section of the
Gallery.
